I had the first Pfizer vaccination Monday afternoon. I had a very sore arm particularly on Tuesday (yesterday), but not much else to report on with regards to any other reactions by me.

First Pfizer on Thursday morning (after a 6 week wait for my appointment!!), sore muscles in my arm - it hurt to raise my arm over my head, but today (Saturday), I'm fine.

I'm expecting the 2nd jab to feel worse in a few weeks.

In my case, I think I'll be given the Indian vaccine.

    The pun jab.

I've had both Pfizer and one AZ, no symptoms to either except bleeding from the eyes and I couldn't walk

Second jab - and the day after, I'd forgotten I'd even had it. Not even a sore arm.

I had my 2nd Pfizer at lunch time today. The injection this time...well... I rolled my sleeve up and waited... and waited.. then the nurse handed me cotton wool and I asked "Is it done"? The lovely nurse said "Yes". Fair dinkum I didn't feel a single thing !! The first dose I got three weeks ago... geez... I certainly did feel the needle going in...

The nurse today said that the pain of the needle depends on the technique/angle used.

I'm just glad it's all done and that I have added to the percentage of the population that is fully vaccinated.

If you see someone stretching the skin and using the needle like a dart in a swift motion, they are the person to go to for jabs! With Covid vaccines, beggars can't be choosers though - I was watching the nurse while waiting for my turn and thought, ugh, here comes sore arm...

That’s likely true since my first dose was completely painless and I didn’t feel anything like your second dose.

Good luck with the symptoms.. it’s my 8th day since 2nd dose and I don’t think I have recovered 100%. First 2-3 days were quite rough with pain in the arm, drowsiness and joint pain.

Medical reports do advise that more chance of symptoms after first dose of AZ - and second dose of Pfizer.

There has been a link established between the AstraZeneca vaccine and a rare but serious side effect called Thrombosis. While the chance is very low at around 4-6 in a million, I certainly wouldn't want it to be me or a loved one.

This has been posted extensively in one or more of the Covid threads, but the risk of death I believe is 1 in 1,000,000. Perhaps the risk of having a clot is higher, but dying is lower than your quote (and I'm happy to be corrected).

Also the Pfizer has a similar (slightly smaller, but very close) risk, but seemingly it isn't making the news. I don't know why.

If you search there are some links but with so many Covid threads, I don't think I'll go looking. :)

The 4-6 in a million is to suffer the side effect of Thrombosis, not actual deaths.

    Sorry for any confusion.

Here is the link which indicates the possibility of TTS by age group. It is down the page a fair way.

    About the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

And on the right hand side of the page for those people who can be bothered and prefer not to get medical information from the pap of social media, are links to additional information regarding AZ, Pfizer and other matters.

All medications have side affects that only effect a small percentage of people. I'd rather have the jab than take my chances without having it.

Today, day after second Pfizer dose, I woke up with chills and felt very fatigued. Couldn't stand up still for any longer than half a minute before needing to sit down or lean on something. Right now, fatigue still there. Pain at the vaccination site is moderate - the same as the first dose.

    Yep, definitely applies to me...
