My name is not common. So it is easy to be on the top of the list.
The whole first page is filled with work related materials & links to publications. Glad there are no nasty surprises :)

I see loads of good stuff when I Google my name. One person who shared my name is an artist so all this beautiful fairy and fantasy art pops up.

My son won a gold medal in the 2000 Olympics. apparently.

I once had an email mixup and had a correspondence with a namesake in Sydney, an environmental scientist.

In my working life I spent some time doing examples for a TAFE Certificate course. For quite a few years I topped searches on my name. No longer!

Quite a few years ago, when I had the food business, I googled the name of the business.

At the top of the search was a post on MySpace (I said it was quite a few years ago) from my store manager at the time, saying "I hate my job and I hate my boss".

That prompted me to do some things to make sure that something much more relevant and flattering appeared at the top of the list, ensuring that the MySpace entry disappeared down the rankings.

My name itself is unusual so not much competition there. However, I just looked up 'WattleIdo' and am mortified to see that there are others! I do come up as first, second and third, though.

Every Tersteeg in Australia is directly descended from my grandparents, so searching my name on Google is all about me (at least in Australia).

    Im Bubble Boy!

Im also a writer, artist, and a musician (as well as an american footballer)

I rarely go by my full name, so unless you know what you are looking for you wont find the actual me.
    Just how I like it.

Well, that was interesting! I haven't Googled myself for many years & I used to be on page 1 of Google all the time, with many references to Skating. There always seemed to be another based at the AIS in Canberra too that had some prestigious job there.

This time I found that I'm highly qualified & well in demand from a number of professions. I'm a Real Estate Agent in Louisiana, I'm a Marketing & Communications Specialist, I'm a General Manager of a large retail outlet, I'm a 6th Grade Language teacher, I'm a published Author and have written a children's book about grieving about a pet that has passed away, I have a heart condition, and I have a 3yr old daughter with a rare condition.. This is remarkable since, at 19 I was an artist & a drug addict who passed out on the floor one day when I was high & a fire started, where I was overcome by fumes & passed away.
