Has anyone built a GF in Adelaide or can recommend any builders to build one?

Within the next year I will be buying a PPOR and will need to build a granny flat down the back. I have know idea about how much it will cost and who I should ring to find out more details about building one.
If there is anyone out there that has built one or knows of someone that I can contact to find out more information it would be great to hear from you.

Have you checked the policy for your area?

Its not possible in some areas. We've been dealing with Atlas Living and they get around it by building a "link" , which is essentially a hall way that joins the main dwelling to it.

No I haven't spoken to anyone about it yet, but I did read that many Councils currently allow granny flats to be built, but on the proviso that an immediate family member live in it (whether that's true or not I have no idea), which is what it will be built for, has nothing to do with investment.
Not sure on exact location yet, most probably anywhere from Port Noarlunga South to McLaren Vale/Willunga

Correct, they are classed as dependent dwellings in SA and cannot be rented as an investment.
