Namaste and a belated Happy New Year from Nepal.

Just finished circumnavigating the Annapurna Range in the Himalayas on foot ( 200+ km walking over 18 days ). Highest altitude was 5416m crossing the Thorong La Pass on Christmas Eve. The day of New Years Eve was descending around 2100m of elevation down from Poon Hill ( 3210m ) to Birenthanti ( 1039m ) via a staircase of over 3200 rugged stone steps. Knees were not happy! Celebrated the New Year with Gorkha Beer, rum and diabolical local rice wine.

Currently listening to the tail-end of a street party in Pokhara before flying back to Kathmandu in the morning.
