Went up the Garden City Library on the weekend and the local Chinese Calligraphy Group for a small donation two of the masters would print what ever one wanted on a quite large """Lucky"" red scroll ,all I wanted printed was peace and happiness ..Once it was dry thanked the Calligraphy Master ,and said it's made me very happy then everyone came up too the master and said they were happy MADE MY DAY might have been the ten bucks I put in the tin on the table..

    Happiness and Peace to all..

    Oops - brain overload.

I'm a "year of the Monkey" (hubby is a Rat) - not a good year for Monkey-Me ... Pig is water and wood - Monkey is fire and metal ... not a good combination for the horoscope

Parents and siblings (and the hundred extended families) are in another country so no celebration (yay!)
I will probably call parents on the day

Yes it was it's been a special day for my Wife from the time the kids were very small ,sitting in China -Town watching the dragons dance as the fire-crackers explode ..It's good to see so much harmony as the Chinese were trading in AUSTRALIA for a long time before the first fleet sailed onto this land on Dutch Maps..

Assuming your kids are hun xie er (mixed blood)? If so, did you send them to Chinese classes when they were young to learn reading/writing in a structured way?

No Mate my Wife wanted our children to be Australian from the start ..The good part with the Asian x Australian mix is they will never have to dye their hair because each has that slight tint red hair when they stand in the sun
    and my Wife's good looks..
