I need a handyman or two for an upcoming full house reno - need someone who can work unsupervised on various things like pulling out carpet, prep work for painting, painting itself, assembling and installing ikea kitchen, tiling etc - it's an investment property in Fairfield NSW. Job will last a few weeks I reckon - I just want to pay a day rate for labour, I'll buy everything - does anyone have anyone to recommend?

Personally I wouldn't use a handyman. They tend to be able to do everything but are not particularly good at anything. I would contract individual trades. I certainly would not want a handyman doing any of my tiling, I have seen so many bad jobs in rentals and it always costs you more later.

It depends on what it is, but it also depends on who you get. There are some pretty good handymen out there.
    Some fairly mediocre ones too.

I think it would be okay for flat pack kitchens etc, (sort of stuff that anyone can do), just not the stuff than can go result in a poor finish.

    Some of that stuff
should be alright for a decent handyman. But without a recommendation I suppose you could be getting anyone.
