Been renovating all year 2015 .

Have done a lot of work on 4 different houses. Just finishing up painting one atm and can say I've had enough of it. Painting, flushing, fencing ,gardens, cleaning out rubbish, demolition, organising trades and spending $$ etc

All on my days off or before/after work so always been rushing around like a headless chook.

Also been eating pretty unhealthy and not exercising like use to.

    I'm over it!!!!

Unless a good deal comes alo......NO!

It will be worth it. How about some (more? ) photos?
By the way, I've seen your head around here somewhere if you need it.

How long do you think it will take for completion? I know renovating is a tough one, I don't blame you for being over it.

The feeling of completion is great.
Now go out and have a salad to celebrate.

Know exactly what you mean! I hit a low point a couple of weeks ago too Joey; said to the better half lets just buy shares.

Next thing we're looking at the next one. It was a turn of century bungalow that needed 6 figures worth of reno done on it. Some people keep on keeping on. Its good for ya ;)

Unless you actually enjoy doing the work, there is no point in saving a few dollars to force yourself to do the work.

If the investment numbers doesn't stack up with external labour cost then it is not worth it IMO. A lot of people forgot that sweat equity is an opportunity cost. Unless you have a low paying job or enjoy doing the work, it is better to just focus on what you are good at and let someone else make a living whilst you are building your wealth.

Yep agree the worst bit is the late night KFC/pizza runs for dinner every night. Then lunch is bought at work the next day because you're too buggered to make lunch at home the night before! Ugh :(

Yes, fortunately for me, I do enjoy spending time with my partner and kid. And no, I do not watch tv much.

Nah not for me. Did some painting and laying floorboards and bits and pieces but never, ever again. If I can't make a good margin gettingall the tradies to do their stuff (completely excluding me doing any manual labour) then I'll move on to another deal. Never again. I much prefer to direct the labour than do it.
