I'm looking for a rough estimate of costs to move an old house... - approx 8m x 10m footprint - 2 bedroom cottage - on concrete stumps, about 600mm high - SE Queensland location What would it cost to: - disconnect services - move house about 10m (on the same block) - re-stump - reconnect services Anyone with experience doing this? I'm after some very rough numbers for a "pre-feasiblity" study...
Give Raise My House a call. They talked this through with me using google earth (me at my computer, them on the end of the phone looking at our property on google earth) to give very ballpark figures. Of the three companies I called when I was first looking for ballpark figures, they were the only company who gave me realistic figures for everything, disconnect, reconnect, raise, slide, slab. Some companies just said "raise would be $15k" and didn't mention the rest of the costs would get us up to around $90k. When it came time to do the lift and slide, we did get them to do the job and they were fantastic. We have no link to them other than being really impressed with them from the first phone call to the end of the job.
Spoke to these guys - great "ballpark estimate" service on the phone, took 5 minutes. Roughly $40-45k.
