    Is there any lenders that do guarantors for relatives or friends, is there product like this or is it just immediate family?

    Anz used to. These days I don't think many would play ball..

    If the guarantor is a sophisticated investor and it's a decent size deal then a lender may be swayed

    Think about why lenders dont do it for relatives or friends.

    For an individual borrower? I only knew of ANZ.

    For companies and trusts it is much easier to structure things so that they can give a guarantee - e.g. swap director positions.
