GST - Sometimes the Other Accountant Gets it Wrong

    Bob got a second opinion (well actually in this case it probably wouldn't have been positive if it was Bob). Advice from another accountant said GST was applicable. My advice I don't believe so.

    A Private Binding Ruling confirmed that GST did not apply to the sale of the properties.

    Some unique facts and circumstances in this one which led me to the conclusion that GST would not apply to the sale of the properties. Client is extremely happy and most importantly the application of the law has been considered.

    Agree - It is often wise to get a second opinion. And a PBR to support it.
