Does anyone know of a company that will do your grocery shopping for you? I loath the supermarket and the idea of spending a couple of hours every week buying and unpacking food makes me want to cry.

I used to use Woolworths online, but their website has changed since then and now it makes me want to kill my laptop in frustration - it freezes or refuses to load when I'm half way through my order.

Coles online only seems to have about 7 products.

Ideas? Hubby used to do it but now he's too busy with a new job. :(

There is a company in Sydney that does this - can't remember their name but they hand out flyers at trains stations occasionally (probably assuming commuters are time poor).

Have you heard of Dinner Twist @Jess Peletier ? They produce menus and deliver the ingredients to make the food. Not sure if they deliver all the way to your end of the world though.

    Hi Jess

Hehehe I can relate and especially when work is too busy.... grocery shopping has generally been a pet peeve. I can recommend Hello Fresh if you're having manic periods and want the convenience of meal ingredient deliveries- I've used them on and off for a couple of years now, but their portions are pretty lean (not great for big eaters) Cheap enough, and if you join up the first week is usually 1/2 price.

I reckon I would charge a substantial mark-up if I was going to someone's shopping for them.

And if I wanted to online shop I'd just use a major. I literally just want to hand someone a list and money, they go shop and choose food that's not squashed, and then come and unpack it.

And I would live happily ever after. :)

What I actually need is a housekeeper, I think.
My friend uses lite and easy - she loves it. She's lost heaps of weight too. I'd do that but hubby won't have a bar of it - he loves to cook. I like to not cook and not shop more than I like to eat amazing food. ;)

Tried it, its ok but gets monotonous, not very high quality food plus I don't need to lose weight :p I'm as fit as a donkey.

Ah, you said that the Woollies site keeps crashing and Coles don't have much, so I thought you were looking for a better online solution.
You need a local who wants a bit of pocket money. My suburb has a facebook group. This is the sort of thing that would get posted there. Just put the word out.

    I outsource it...to my wife.
But, will think I'll go to the supermarket more often now after starting a healthier diet recently.
I went for the first time in about 12 months a few weeks ago in the evening and couldn't believe how many hot women there were :)
Women in their business dress and fitness girls too.
Took me about 2 hours to get my stuff as I was so distracted.
Gonna do it more often from now on as I don't get out much otherwise.

Can you find a uni student or high school student you can send for you? It would cost you, but likely not as much as buying with a markup and delivery fee would be?

I find the Woolworths new one difficult but bearable to get mine done. I also use Coles depending on the specials.
It might be worth using a different browser @Jess Peletier . I use Chrome and it doesn't freeze but does ask me to log into Woolworths if I have left my cart for 20mins (ie distracted by something else) and that is slightly annoying but it remembers everything I had in there.

Good point - didn't think of the browser thing! I'll definitely try that.

You'd still have to give them a list. I don't see how this would be better than Woolworths Online?

As a lure for you, Woolworth have some half price Lindt chocolate to make up for it's painful site :)
