Granny flat this house- yes or no

    Based upon the feedback, I'm contemplating ditching the idea of going with the attached version and perhaps constructing a granny in the backyard, which will yield at least 60 sqm.

    Hi @Lacrim. Did you decide to proceed with this idea?

    I've also got a property in Minto and trying to decide if I want to build a 2br detached 60 sqm granny at the backyard.

    Not as yet observer. Have realised since that its a little too tight at the rear to cram a granny. May have to opt for a 2 storey version.

    Just another thing to consider is that the separating wall between the existing house and attached granny flat must be fire rated, another cost to factor in.
