Yes - have lived in that part of the world and it's NEVER summer. Hubby and I were laughing all the way thru at the lingo and attitude ... so very New Zealand ... like the kiwi host so much better than the aussie one

I really like fixer upper. Such a good show. And I actually like the hosts. Which I cannot say about any other tv show...at all.

Grand designs is good. But hate when they do return episodes for houses that were finished. And the owners are like..."yeah so the house is still here... but look we put up a different picture on the wall!" Wow that was worth waiting 40 mins for.

I tape the follow up shows and start watching at about 45 minutes. It always is just a repeat with a little bit tacked on the end.

Yeah the annoying thing is, there are so many unfinished ones that I want to see a return to. But you never get to. Like the cob house. But we get returns to houses like that one owned by the ex army guy that was injured and lost his legs. He did a great job with his house. But it was completed in the one episode. There was no need for a return.

On Escape to the Chateau they bought this for £300,000:

Looked like a lot of work to fix up, so worth it though

Yes - don't know that I'd been keen on living in it, knowing how shaky Wellington can be. Holding 10x the actual weight is fine - until the cliff sheers off and takes everything with it.

Was amazing in the technology, but not much house for the cost.
