Who's the lucky bugger that gets to rent the whole top floor for only $1 lol.

$150m for the building will help pay the CEOs salary and bonus!

Rather appalling that it was sold and think enough is enough. With this building, QVB and other historical buildings in the city being bought out by international buyers who probably have no concerns about the conserving our historical heritage.

How is this in the national interest & how will it meet with FIRB approval?

Hmm they'll maybe need to knock down and rebuild. Keep the exterior kangaroo designs for heritage. Actually got no idea. Is this a major scandal?

    No, not a major scandal.
But it is interesting that is wasn't publicised.
    Still @$150m I guess it's a limited market
It would be nice to see heritage buildings of significance retained, it at all possible, this would take intervention by state and federal governments, yet they are too busy trying to get re elected

    RANT BELOW :(

As a "step parent" to 4 certified indigenous Australians I don't hold back sinking the boot into Govco :p
Not one of my step children have the slightest bit of their ancestoaral language/abilities/looks, yet they stand to benefit from modern Australia (as an Anglo Saxon I play the didge 10x better than they ever will).
I would sooner see significant buildings retained at the expense of the tax payer for heritage purposes, than the subsidisation of diluted "original terra australis inhabitants" (unless it can be proven they are able to prove in some form that they are continuing to preserve the ways of their ancestors).

*note: I did not know of their indigenous certification prior, yet I still support them financially and emotionally. All the time encouraging them to be whatever they hope/dream to be, and never treat them like their heritage is a crutch or fall back option!
Each of them are given the same if not more options than any other child, and "we" treat them as AUSSIES ;)
