Government says tenants don't have to pay rent if under hardship

    That $2000 grant is near impossible to get I've been told, not many tenants can qualify for it.

    To be fair these were comments made before REIQ revealed the important minor details of the new moratorium to which aren't too bad, but no one with a half a brain will buy a new rental if it continues to lose money, have a look at how many vacant rentals are on the market now. I dare say values will drop and that in itself wall cause problems for the Govt. There will be people holding off or very selective in introducing new tenants to their rental in these times.
