    Hi All,

I'm a plumber and i'm planning on going out on my own next year and was wondering if anyone has had any luck paying a company to set up a website and use google adwords for advertising/getting constant work. and if so do you have any tips etc how much it cost and if it was worth it? that type of thing.

    Cheers, Elives

I run a small biz - in my experience Adwords has a poor ROI, I found it was better for me to invest efforts in writing good content to organically attract traffic.

Google the phrase "bum crack", you'll get Glenn PC people sniffing around.

If I told you how much I spend on AdWords in a year you would cry...

Roi really depends, it's a numbers game. For a single plumber it's probably not worth it. If you employ 10 plumbers it probably is. I would find it strange that a plumber would even need to advertise for work in all honesty.

You really should get a company to manage it for you either way if you are thinking of going down this path, it's too complex a beast to tame yourself these days.
