    Morning All,

Really eager to hear people's thoughts with regards to new home sales.

I have had a few interviews with some great building company's and also been offered some positions in new home sales however I'm unsure if it's a great time to be getting into this?

    What's everyone's thoughts?

    Welcome aboard.

I assume the position is in Perth? If so - might not be the easiest market to be selling in at present.

    Cheers

Based on the incentives builders are offering at the moment, it won't be easy money. which area are you in?

    Calling @LifesGood

Any job where you are leaving a steady income to change over to commission is going to be hard. You need to have a good 6-12mths savings to get you through the first rough year.
In this market you probably want to be with a company that has good marketing and affordable houses.

Do you like helping people? Do you like working weekends? Do you understand the product (new homes, the building process etc).

Hi @ScottyT , welcome aboard. I'm a sales & marketing manager for one of WAs highest volume builders.

It's a tough gig at times, but extremely rewarding. All the technical skills can be taught, but it's the never say die attitude and the resilience that either makes or breaks a successful new home rep.

Happy to discuss further with you if you want an honest opinion on the builders that you have been speaking with.
