More high rises coming to Southport. The Gold Coast has so much population growth coming and need to cater for it. Southport will be very different in 10 years time to how it is now...

For anyone interested in development plays in Southport, I would suggest some of the "vacant/land" used car type blocks. They will all be highrised in the years to come...

    Agree.

I have heard from a range of source that a Disney theme park might also be in the works, which I would also welcome.

Yeah. It will be done. Strong community support but politicised. But I love the direction the coast is moving towards. Really thinking big now, and planning for a a transformation into a world class tourism hub.

Yeah they way things stand were almost like that now ! ive been travelling to brissie allot more recently. as long as you avoid late afternoons and early mornings. it takes me 35 mins to get there from the pac pines area. in the next 2 decades i would say we would be at the super city status.

If they ever fix the "super highway" it would be good.
That one bottleneck heading South where it reduces to 2 lanes at the Gateway merge, terrible planning.

With the Coast tipped to grow by so much, the tight beachside pockets could be a good bet for capital growth.
