Good on you, this is an important one.
Gotta remember why you're doing all this:

WE use SMARTER goals at work. It is available for everyone in the company with HR's support. What we noticed is that people who had SMARTER goals tend to get promoted more quickly and are generally happy bunch of people. They usually put themselves as number 1 on the importance list!

I have been trying this as well as monthly catch ups with my employees and they all comment how great the system is. The only issue is that most people do it once then they forget about it. I find that having monthly catch ups is a good way to make sure you are on track. Also if you are not a very motivated person it would be good to find someone who can give you a kick up the bum (for extra motivation / push) when it is needed. :)

Goals for 2016 in no particular order:

    - Trade in current car for a bigger one (need more seats)
    - Buy 2 IPs
    - Take entire family (my parents are visiting early 2016) to Tassie*
    - Renovate PPOR
    1. Connect gas
    2. Add another toilet (possibly a shower as well)
    3. Paint entire house
    4. Change all internal doors
    5. Garage makeover

    Tassie is beautiful. Must go.
It's never my goal to go on holidays but Wifey plans it so saves me hassle. So 5 weeks in America is coming up.
I want to get 3 more IPs outside NSW.
    Increase earnings by 30%.
Give more financially to causes I believe in.

Ripping off all old shelves and work bench. Clean the floor and if need be, use the rustoleum floor covering to cover the floor. Cover internally with blue boards and paint. Then add new storage options to it.

I have never done any of these. Let's see how it pans out.

Instead of using rustoleum you should just use a coloured concrete sealer. It will last longer. Pallet racking shelving is also a good storage solution.

Can you tell me more about it?
Where do I find the colored concrete sealer and is it DIYable? What's pallet racking shelving?

If you can paint a wall you can paint a slab. It's exactly the same thing. Just make sure the surface is free of oil, grease etc. best to get some hydrochloride acid and wash it down first.

You can buy the sealer from parchem. There are a fair few around Sydney I think so should be easy to get. You just mix the colour of your choice from the colour chart in with the clear sealer. The colour is already measured out so you can't stuff up the mixtures. Stir it for a few minutes and start painting. You can see my driveway I done in the thread house rendered. Mind you it was only the first coat.

I will find you a link for the shelving.

I've yet to sit down and flesh out my 2016 goals in complete detail, but here's what's already on my current list for the next 12 months. Many of these are ongoing goals. Some are new or revised. Many are intertwined. Most will be achieved. Most have sub-goals, the details of which I’ll spare you in the interest of brevity.

    Major:
    • Have a significant, positive impact on as many people as I can.
    • Become a better human.
    • Have the best year of my life.

    The rest:
    • Do what it takes.
    • Give more than I receive.
    • Master my time.
    • Hack my happiness to even higher levels.
    • Become more disciplined and focused.
    • Read a book a week.
    • Meditate daily.
    • Be more mindful and present.
    • Maintain mastermind group.
    • Be fitter and healthier than ever.
    • Help my clients grow their wealth and provide the best possible experience for all.
    • Inspire, encourage and motivate others.
    • Speak live to paying audiences.
    • Create and grow multiple 4 & 5-figure recurring income streams.
    • Prelim stuff ahead of developing my Moorooka site
    • Seize every opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself, learn and grow.
    • Watch 100 sunrises/sunsets.
    • Nurture and strengthen relationships with family and friends.
    • Strategically leverage the media toward the attainment of other goals including growing my business, helping more investors, inspiring others.

Still in major debt reduction mode here, so don't really have anything interesting on the horizon yet... :(

Something like a 5 year goal thread would be much more exciting (for me to think about, anyway)..... :D

A little, but would probably want to delay that for another 12 months or so, regardless.

Quite happy with our plan, just a little disappointed I don't have some sexy goal to tell everyone about. :(

    :)

I have discovered the meaning of my life: to have a positive impact on as many people as I can and to extract as much fulfilment, wellbeing and happiness from each and every moment as possible.

Never been one for toys, but money is a great provider of options.

My financial goal is very simple - become a millionaire (net worth) in 2016
