    @evrika123 of course - the Aussie will fall and then recover...just like teh Kiwi When its about the US dollar its about the US dollar

    Which in summary boils down to this -- the RBA will sit. There are much bigger forces at work here than those within the influence of a pissant central bank (which is what the RBA is next to the big boys).

    It's indeed cute thinking the Australia has an influence on the AUD rate when the US economy is around 17 times bigger than our own and the USD comprises close to 90% of all currency trades.

    RBA had it's chance they should have cut in October and November of last year. Now it's too late. It will help the recession. :(

    There's a bunch of self funded retirees who probably wouldn't be a fan of that, and would prefer that the RBA hike by a few per cent...

    I'm a sort of self funded retiree myself and I don't mind it falling to zero.
