Today is the Global Climate Strike, the movement started by that 16 year old Swedish environmental dynamo Greta Thunberg.
    Sydney - Global #ClimateStrike

This strike started out for school students, but there is much wider support from parents, teachers and the community. Joy has taken the pledge to make a difference, so if you are wanting to be a part of a significant moment in international advocacy about the future of the planet, the strike starts at 12pm at the Domain, Sydney and runs until 2pm.

Why you should join the global climate strike this Friday | Bill McKibben

    Let's make it count,
We want our elected officials to work together with leaders around the world to find a better way. It is unfair to pit life/saving the planet against jobs.

    Think global, act local.

Ditch your home cooling and heating, minimise your car trips and don’t cruise or fly anywhere.

That will do more good for the planet than attending a protest meeting.
