Yes, several times. It's dreadful. Don't listen to her, fly over.
All you can do is sleep. Not even eat.
You need someone to be there every so often.

When you say 'fly over', you mean Melbourne, right?

You'll be fine, just don't kiss her. You generally catch it from kissing.

Many young people when having blood tests later discover they have anti-bodies to the disease, meaning they have had it in the past without really knowing - probably thinking it was the flu or similar at the time. No biggie I would have thought.

thanks everyone, I have booked ticket flying over tomorrow. She will be sleeping most of the time from she tells me.

I will have my lap top, my mobile...... but no Netflix, no Foxtel, no stan....... OMG what am I going to do?
That's right they make the best coffee in Melb, that will save the day.

Seriously, I think everything will be fine, but best to be around nothing worse than being sick and no one to help you

    MTR:)

You can get all three on your laptop. Stan and Netflix have dedicated apps and Foxtel has "Foxtel Go" app.

I've had it. It's bad but not the worst thing I've had. One of the byproducts is you feel buggered pretty much all the time. You could sleep from 10pm to 12pm the next day and still not want to get up.

    There are different degrees.
You p retty much need someone to bring you fresh water or lemonade or a cuppa and to tell you what time it is. Sometimes you can't wake up and when you do, it's depressing. Sleep can be delerious.
    Lucky to have her mum.

I had post viral fatigue from something like this. Took 12 months to recover and about 2 years to fully recover. Nasty business.

Had it when I was in my early-mid 20's, didnt really have the lethargy thing (well OK I did) but was on amoxycillin during incubation and so had a horrible rash all over for duration. Not pleasant. Was off work for a month then progressively back

Ask your daughter what guys (or girls I am open minded) she has been getting "close" to since moving to melbourne and be prepared for a very awkward set of conversations... its part of the herpes group of diseases

My hubby had this and it really knocked him for a while. Lost a lot of weight and had trouble putting it back on. Had almost chronic fatigue like symptoms for close to 6 months. The Dr actually recommended he go to a Chinese herbalist. Got some foul tasting concoction but he swears that is what made him finally get rid of it.
