Learn something everyday... my daughter was "ghosted", what does this mean? a term used amongst women (or men) when they have been seeing someone for a while stops. Quite bizarre, this guy one minute madly in love with my daughter has now dropped from the face of the earth. Wonder what happened, we will never know she is now in Australia and he is in London MTR
Ghosted? In my days it was called 'I'm not interested anymore'. Were they in a relationship or just went our a few times?
He's with someone else. Ill never forget the time this happened to me. I didn't like getting ghosted.
The new b/friend 4 weeks and he was talking moving to Australia for her, though a successful career in London, it would not have worked in Australia, he wanted to take her home to meet the family, she thought too soon, and then nothing..? Prior to this went to London with Oz B/friend 12 months ago, 7 year relationship MTR
he possibly already had someone, a player, would not surprise me. At least we are having a laugh about it, being ghosted is not the end of the world, I love that my daughter pokes fun at it
it could have been worse MTR - he could have stayed with her longer. That person who is capable of doing that to someone could have wasted more of her life. My mum used to always tell me, if things are not working out with someone - leave. It may be difficult for a few months but it's better than a life time of misery. Hang out only with people who bring out the best in you.
Put it down to experience. Your daughter, MTR, sounds really well grounded and well-adjusted. Sounds like he got cold feet or has issues. She's far better off without him. And better now than down the track.
No, 7 year relationship over 6 months prior. All tongue in cheek, never ever heard of ghosted, all the new lingo I guess. MTR
It's old lingo, the correct term is "blanked" as in "I blanked that girl when I saw her shopping in 7/11 after I dumped her ass."
Better than being catfished! She need to find a good Aussie boy. In my experience cross cultural relationships are very tough. Deciding where to live is usually the deal breaker
