I’m unsure if I Should involve my mortgage broker If I want to contact cba about asking for a lower rate?
Do I ring directly or waste my brokers time ( I doubt he makes money for doing this)
    It’s a p and I investment property with offset at 3.8%.

If you trust your mortgage why not use them?

I guess you could always ring up yourself and try to negotiate with a random person on the other end of the line, but I have gone with my mortgage broker...

    Ring directly.
If it's not to your liking and you're considering shopping around, then get your broker do the leg work.

If your loan was setup by a broker, that’s exactly who you should be speaking to.

Agreed. Best to negotiate through whoever helped you set the loan up in the first place. It's what they're paid for.

+1 go direct to the Broker. That's their job, they'll appreciate the business and there's a darn good chance it's a better deal than going direct.

So you don't think there's value in going through the Broker?

I think you'd get about the same deal going through either a broker or a banker, at least this is the case with most lenders.

What I wouldn't do is call the help desk. With most lenders in my experience, that's almost guaranteed to get you an average deal.
