Thought I'd post this short skit

Warning some language (can't seem to help it 'cause it's comedy)

I think I went to an auction almost identical to this recently for a cardboard box in the middle of the Hume Hwy (NSW) but it actually had a toilet, which was an added bonus.
Similar sort of money, glad I was the underbidder.

Too funny! I shared this around.

Totally extreme and over the top, sure, but a lot of truth is said in jest.

It is fascinating that it is set at an auction in Sydney's southwest - the very area to first experience the correction phase of the Sydney cycle (please note, I'm referring to the natural cyclical 'downturn' phase that any, and every property market experiences in a normal cycle; and not the 'end of the world fire-sale' presented in the film for comedic intent!!)

Well yeah, as others have said, been to similar auctions in SW toilet block towers.

I was stunned at one when the highest bidder (by a mile) actually bid against himself, not once, but three times ! and raised the price by over 10% !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! and like the video, he had only just walked through the place 10 mins earlier for the first time (I know that, cause he asked me which unit was for auction) so no reading of contract, checking of strata matters, nothing, I am not even sure if he understood it came with tenants.

The auctioneer was not dis similar to this guy too, while they were getting him to bid against himself, they were espousing how great it is to buy under auction conditions & how lovely the property was ..... lol ... dam I wish I had my vid cam going now.

There is not enough people in Brisbane yet to get such a motley crew with too much money & APRA has fixed this for now too . :):p
