    For a patch of lawn like that I'd go for a good push reel mower like Fiskars, and get a battery powered line trimmer. Also a decent rake and broom. Petrol power is totally unnecessary in the burbs, and you won't junk up your shed/garage with fuel cans, oil, and other 'toys'. I also prefer a decent pair of shears for keeping hedges in check.

    Battery all the way. I have the 36V Ryobi range Mower and Edger. Might get the Blower too.
