How many episodes have you watched? The first episode is kinda boring but its actually a very good story line that you have to persevere with.

I then gave up after a few seasons though. It became annoying that not very much happened in first few episodes of the season and then everything happened in the last couple. You then waited months for the next season to come around.

By season 3 you'll need to take notes along the way to keep track of all the characters and various plot lines.

No need remember the characters...chances are in a couple of episodes time, that character will be beheaded or burnt to death. :p

Haven't watched the show, but was ready to throw the first book against the wall by half way through. Forced myself to finish it and start the second, since I'd already bought it, but only managed a chapter of two before I gave up.

If you had a crush on John Snow this would probably be a Freudian slip.

You have to watch it intently, because something which you think is insignificant becomes significant a few seasons down the track.

Yes. It took me three tries to watch episode/series 1 before I became hooked, and two attempts to read the first book.

Start all over again and commit :) you cannot be doing two things at once with this show, that was my mistake.

I like GoT very much, but didn't like the violence and porn.

So you liked about 90 seconds of footage?
