Just thinking towards the future here, just wondering how many of you are making a success out of online business. What are the best type of website structures and user interface experience and what products or services do you think will sell well this decade moving to 2030? Someone the other day mentioned that one page simple web sites is the way forward.

Website design very much depends on the product or service you are selling.

A one page site is fine for something simple. For example - if you're selling an online course or a single product - you can probably get away with that.

If you have multiple offerings or if your products or services are complex - then you will most likely require something more.

Personally, I am not a fan of "one page" websites - but it really does depend on the context.

Of course, the reality is that your site will never be just "one page" - you'll likely have a shopping cart and payment processing - even if that is outsourced to a 3rd party.

If you're selling a course - your sales website might be simple - but of course, you'll have much more complexity in the backend for delivering your content.

Mobile-first design is critical - the vast majority of your customers will be viewing your site on their phone rather than on a desktop - at least initially anyway.
