My grandmother has dementia. (She's 95.) My grandfather died more than 30 years ago, and she bought a double plot at that time.

Every week for a couple of months, when my Dad visited, she'd ask him "We've got a double plot, haven't we?", "Can you check that the plot is paid for?", "There's space for me, isn't there?" and on and on and on.

One week, my Dad - who's rather the larrikin, and the much-loved son-in-law - got tired of it and said "I rang the cemetery and checked, and they say they're ready when you are".

Something's getting in. She hasn't asked about it again. :)

My friends Dad recently passed away on the Central Coast.(cancer)
The Irish family funeral Company arrived within 1 hour to pick up his body (3am) and done it for less than $1999 full cremation.

I dont think there would be a huge profit in that, but it was her Son and husband doing the work and they seemed very very eager for business.

They left the competition in the dust.

Did you know that the Australian Gravediggers Association is an inter national organisation?

Funnily enough, (and no jokes here), I was just talking to someone this week who has a pet funeral service in SEQ, and things are very busy for them. Not everyone wants to bury their animal in their yard.

The problem with a funeral business is that it would face some stiff competition.

My friend was a grave digger in Sydney for a short time. They got 'danger money' if they found human bone.
I told him he should have kept a couple of bones in his pocket and chucked them in the dirt occasionally.

    Haha eager for business

I can imagine going to door to door sales

"Excuse me. Are you dying soon?"

"Excuse me. Youre looking a little unwell, any chance of you dying soon?"

"Excuse me. I can set up a plan where you can use our services sooner than later"

You'd need to be careful that you didn't dig yourself into a hole.
