    Hi everyone,

Anyone had a full internal (ceiling, walls, door/window frames, internal doors etc.) paint done?

Even if its a 3x2 or something similiar I'm interested to hear what it cost you, and if you were happy with the works. Please mention if its on brick/gyprock walls etc.

This is sort of what I am looking at (will be tweaked dependent on the job)

    basic scope:
    sand/clean/preparation/filling of walls

    oil based works for architraves/woodwork
    one undercoat
    two finishing coats

    water based work (walls)
    one undercoat
    two finishing coats
OR just two finishing coats on the walls
dependent on reno/if painting over existing dark colours etc.

hoping you guys can tell me how you went! seems like a big part of the cost, just trying to get my head around it!

We had a 4x2 done a year or so ago, big job with lots of wall repair and it cost us about $8500 and a week with a team. We also got the undercroft done outside. It was a double brick house.

    Quotes ranged from $4500 - $12k

    yep...
3x1. Between $10K-$16K not fully quoted out, just a verbal estimate.

For our 4x2 we had 3 quotes - $8.5K, $15K & $34K (!!! ... actually it was $31K "+plus GST" and when I opened that quote I initially thought maybe he'd put the 1 & 3 around the wrong way. But no.) All were asked to quote with Dulux W&W, not "professional" which is apparently lower grade.

We went with the cheapest ... They did it in 2 weeks, had up to 5 men on the job. I'm not 100% happy because when they did the ceiling I think they've used a roller with a long nap to hold more paint - it is not as smooth a finish as I would like. But otherwise they were fine.
