    I know a guy, a successful property investor who is living off rent and he regularly buys an 8 ball of shard and gets fried!

    One of my mentors used to say 9/10 times the people who lost more than they had allowed for/were OK with, is because they were poor at assessing and managing risk. I've never lost a great deal of money ( actually never lost any money) and i attribute it mainly to never being lax about financial risk and treating it with the utmost respect it deserves.
