Franchise & Business Expo stand.jpg We had a stand at the Brisbane Expo on the weekend.

I met a lot of interesting people.

Some of the franchisees from Express Business Australia | Franchise Opportunities were especially interesting. Working 35 - 40 hours a week and making good money, but it was the lifestyle that attracted them to it. They seemed really happy and talked about being able to go to kids events at schools etc during the day.

Thinking I might need some specialist advice on labour laws.

The little one was wearing on of my solicitor's exhibitors badges and walking around pretending to be her too.

This photo was before opening on Saturday. Had I taken another one at closing on Sunday then you would have seen:
    1. Food covered faces; and
    2. Inability to sit up on stools due to bulging bellies.

The food franchises had samples and were more then happy to dump them on children walking around at the end of the show.

The Shingle Inn coffee was outstanding. As was their assortment of cakes. It was just a pity they didn't have their St Burger range going as well.

How did you find the response to your stall? I own/operate an aerial photography company specialising in Real Estate and Architectural imagery and have been considering getting into the Expo space. I feel it would be a great way to discuss what we do and show examples of the quality of our work.
Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Cinem

There were a lot less through the door than I expected. The other stall holders said Sydney and Melbourne are multiple times busier.

For our guys it was very worthwhile, we brought in enough work over the 2 days to make it worth it. That is without the meetings that will follow. Also a lot of our brochures were taken for leasing as well as the franchise purchases.
