    Just wondering about the colours?

The white on white isn't as easy on the eyes as the white and blue of somersoft.

    Any thoughts?

Colours haven't been finalised yet - might need to outsource that to a professional, have been having trouble coming up with colour schemes that work.

I can easily make an off-white (or similar) background version if you think that would help with visibility?

Or else, just turn down the brightness on your screen a little :p

i just widened it to full width and that helped a bit. But i just think the softer blue background/side colours on somersoft just made it a bit easier to read.... or maybe i just shouldnt complain and i should get used to the new platform ;)

Posted this in another thread but yes would definitely like to have a darker background option, this white one make my eyes hurt :( I have the app flux on (which lowers screen brightness after 7pm) but still fairly uncomfortable with this theme. Maybe an off white grey background would help.

Yeah I definitely agree with this one.

I don't know if it is the colour as such but no clear lines between posts/signatures etc.

I think Somersoft and Whirlpool should be used as benchmarks for simplicity that works!

Nonetheless, good work Sim on getting something up and running quickly!

For me, a harder/darker delineation between posts (currently it's a very thin light blue line on the white background) would be preferred, as I tend to scroll through / scan threads a lot and this just helps my brain keep track.

In FireFox, I right click on the image and block, and it doesn't get displayed. I need this for office environment until Sim comes up with 'low profile theme for the office worker'

but his face keeps popping up

I agree, the light blue was easier on the eyes.

I liked the teal theme, which had the purple, but now it's changed to teal & green :(

Yes please. A version with very little graphics and images would be fantastic for reading at the office. That is why I loved the 'print view' in Somersoft and the ability to download the whole thread as a PDF and read it at leisure was great.

There are a couple of new themes available now, a minimalist with no avatars, and a somersoft theme which mimics the colours and contrast of the SS forums.

Oops - not sure what happened there. I will try and resurrect the Teal and Purple theme.

@Toon if you'd like to swap to the new "Teal & Purple" theme, things should be good again :D

@Timmyd02 in case you missed it - thanks to some valuable input from DaveM with the initial design, we now have a "SS Legacy" theme which you might find oddly familiar :D

@RetireRich101 in case you missed it, we now have a "Minimalist Theme", which hides a lot of superfluous information, including the logo and avatars. I might continue to tweak this theme over time.

If you are a premium or business member, you can also opt to hide the Twitter feed from the sidebar.

Thanks for the "SS Legacy" theme. Now I feel like I am back home :). Seriously though, you have done an AMAZINGLY job getting this forum up and going (almost) seamlessly between SS and PC
