    Hi All,

After a house is sold, the real estate agent normally puts a SOLD sticker on the sign.

At what stage does the entire signage get removed?

Does the agent remove the sign or new property owner remove it?

The agent will leave it up as long as possible.

Assuming it's settled I would ring the agent and ask them when they are going to come and get it. If it's going to take too long for your patience, all you need are muscles (frustration and coffee too perhaps) and a mallet to get that thing out. Just don't destroy it as it's their property.

There is an agent in Marrickville who not only leaves the sign up as long as possible, he also gets someone to go around every Saturday putting flags on the signs of properties that have been sold. I asked him once whether many get nicked. He said a few, but it's worth it for the advertising.

Either when the vendor requests it be removed (If they don't want the sign in the yard any longer than necessary) or shortly after settlement at the latest ie 6 weeks after unconditional contracts.

A lot keep the signs up even when they are under-contract and sold in inner Brisbane ,it would work well once someone rings up is told it's sold their name goes on the agents list ,and the game of real estate chess starts all over again..
