If you fly economy then get a nice massage or spa treatment when you arrive - still much cheaper than business and feel so refreshed afterwards.

Depend which Airline you are with and your level within the reward system , and at what level you are within the card ..
But the one we use ,we book economy first, then maybe 2 weeks down too the last 48 hours the offer's become lower each time..Sometimes up too 50% and above, the only downside is they offer you nothing and you end up down the back, but's that's never happened so far..imho..

paid around $1000 each.... very nice I can tell you those slippers felt good and I even got PJs.
Champers immediately and then the list of French wines and was told that I could order anything off the menu anytime I liked, no limitations to what and when I wanted to be served. As I said I felt like a rock star, its no wonder they are number one.
My partner has flow BC with Qantas he said it does not hold a candle to Qatar, they take it to a totally different level.

Korean Air business class is excellent... Great way to get to the USA. Fly to Seoul on the A380 , which has a bar at each end of the upper deck...

Usually Economy for say, CBR to SYD. International, Business Class. Got a cracking deal recently at around a 50% discount including flights from CBR to MEL.

I flew international business class many times when I was working. Sure, it was nice and comfortable but IMO it is terrible value for money. It would have been much cheaper to fly me economy and give me two days off at either end of the trip, which would also have helped greatly with recovering from jet lag, but such logic never 'flew' with management. I would never pay for it for my own travel, no matter how much money I ever accumulate.

For a trip to say the USA how much do you think it is worth paying over economy for premium economy ? And how much over PE is it worth to pay to obtain Business class ?

Emirates takes it even a step further by including ground service pre & post flight. Ie. Chauffeured transfers etc... In flight service is comparable to Qatar.
