Hi all - yep another question about my PPOR reno!

We're getting floating floorboards laid today. They're not cheap (about $120m2 installed) so I'm hoping they're good quality!

We knew before we bought them that we need expansion joints every 10 metres but the installer insists expansion joints also need to be added at every doorway. It's an old home where there are a number of smaller rooms with wider door openings, not open plan like new homes, and I think it's going to look really average because it will stop the flow.

Has anyone had similar problems when getting a floater installed?
