So every so often I'll see an old post of mine where the spelling/grammar etc is wrong (usually from being sloppy) and edit it to what it should be. The times it won't let me edit it.. I get annoyed at myself and hope that the post would just disappear into oblivion....

Going over old posts to fix spelling etc has become somewhat obsessive ... Anyone else do this...so I can feel better...?

    Yes.

They look perfect until I published the reply. Then there's this glaring mistake and I was like.... what?? > Edit > Fix

Yes - I cringe when a see a post of mine that has been "out there" for a while with incorrect spelling or grammar ... even worse on my FB business page. I try and correct it asap and hope no one noticed

I am more than happy to t/f the premium fee to an account, just don't want my avatar to show I am a premium member.

Why is that? Are you worried that people will think your opinion is more credible than the regular Leo2413 poster? :p

hehe... no.. well people should always do their own DD on anything and everything. No matter what I read on here, even if I really respect the person, I will never take anything at face value and always double and triple check something if I'm going to adopt it.

I just started with no membership label and prefer to stay that way. :)

Yes I do that also. However I also noticed that the edit button disappears after a certain period of time.

Yes, this is an unfortunate necessity to deal with those people who would rewrite history because someone removes their gruntle - or in the event that an account is compromised by a third party and used to edit spam into old posts.

I've also seen particularly determined spammers create seemingly innocuous posts and then go back and edit them down the track, hoping that their edits slip through without being moderated.

You are always welcome to report your own post and request that the moderators edit it for you.

@Leo2413 I am the majority of the other readers would not be worried about the occasional spelling or grammatical error. The information remains the same.

I'll say 1 thing then shut up. I like it when people shorten "et cetera" to "etc". Not "ect".

Ahhhh.... Nice to get that finally off my chest.

You betcha. In fact, I go a step further where I feel like editing others spelling and grammatical mistakes. Especially, the 'could ofs', 'should ofs', 'yours',, etc !
