I would argue it coud also be bait. A special rate that ratchets up....Around 2-3 years ago this was very common.

Most likely from the $1b bonds they recently issued out.

Customer service is the worst. Stay away. I have never seen such a worst business that is exceptionally the worst when it comes to customer service and don't care about customer.

Agree 100% - of all the lenders I have ever dealt with by far the worst experience was with Firstmac

It is a long story so briefly can say still chasing for my final refinance SMSF loan approval and it's almost 2 months and have given all docs they asked for in bits and pieces. So basically no defined SLA. Funny thing I raised my complaint to their CEO but no response yet to my msg. This indicates they don't care about customers.

Are you from Firstmac Rolf or a broker?

    im a broker.

Our clients experience is generally good to very good.

The SMSF area of FM is a little on the busy side and will be prioritising purchases over refis, not dissimilar to what happened with ANZ and WBC group 12 to 18 mths ago

If one can get the whole required date back up front, it does help for a speedier process

Do you really expect the CEO to respond to you? :D
