Maybe I'm being old fashioned - but, to me, a female Bond would feel tokenistic. Bit like considering a male Wonderwoman (Wonderman?)

What we're really after is strong female roles without having to occupy the traditional male space. There is plenty of room for everyone

Help me determine the consensus of this very light hearted family debate we are having right now

Our online supermarket order of diet coke was auto substituted for full sugar coke.
My opinion is that people that choose diet coke are primarily calorie/sugar sensitive so giving full sugar is like substituting vegetables burgers with beef burgers and is a really bad choice.

My family member thinks it's no different to subdtituing bread with bread with rolls and isn't a big deal.

Who wins this first world debate?

This substitution racket should be stopped. When will it end. If u want potatoes, will chips do?. If u want rapid antigen test, will pregnancy test be OK?

    Lucky u didn't get cocaine

I'd at least expect Coke No Sugar or even Pepsi Max as substitution or Coles brand Diet Cola

I've spent the summer break away from others by practicing on my guitar.

I am one of those people who are left handed, but play guitar "normally" i.e. my left hand on the frets.

So I've developed a nice set of callouses on the fingers of my left hand - but now I discover my iphone doesn't respond to those fingers!!! :(

Started playing during Covid last year and finding the time to practice is the hardest part and looking at YouTube videos of people playing improve after 2 months irks me

I discovered the two most useful practice tools are, first, a metronome and, second, a looper pedal if using amplification.

Those and, at a minimum, four hours a day, every day. :)

The public buses in the area are running on the weekend timetable ie no express buses (or other direct bus into the city) due to Covid-19 driver shortages.

The upside, there's less traffic or traffic noise around.

I, as many people would, skip to the next episode of a show when the credits start to roll on an episode.

The problem is Stan considers this episode as unwatched because you didn't play it all the way to the end, so when I resume watching a show it considers this as the next unwatched episode and reverts back to it. When you have say 10 of these "unwatched" episodes in a row, it becomes a lot of work to figure out where you left off.

Seriously - the product designers and testers of this should be fired. Pathetic.

Anyone else come across this? It makes watching a show on it torturous as you try to figure out where you actually are up to. Every time I hit the pause button and my phone goes into standby, I wonder how much time it's going to take me to get back to where I was.

This probably should go into first world problems :D:D:D

It is annoying though. Did you email them with a suggestion?

Don't joke about this. I will seriously give up my flat whites and avo toasts for a week if this isn't addressed. I am not messing around.

Doesn't happen on Netflix or Disney ... but Disney don't have the option of "skip intro" no matter how many episodes of a series you've watched

On a different note - the nearly 3yr old next door was given a fire engine for Christmas and he loves verbally practicing his very loud "siren" at 6am (I am not a morning person). At least he's giving his Vagus/Vagal Nerve a good workout and it's not heavy metal

On some systems you have to get to within a certain time to the end of the episode before it marks it as watched - I know one system I use will be fine within 2 minutes of the ending.

Normally 2 minutes is plenty of time - but more recently, Disney/Marvel have been creating really long end credit sequences - much longer than 2 minutes, so I do need to be careful to skip ahead sufficiently.

How long are the credits on the show you watch? How far from the end are you?

Can you skip to the end so that it does mark it as watched?
