Found it, she'd left the key in the ignition, car unlocked. Now has a flat battery & waiting for NRMA.

Lil Master No Mates was unable to give me enough push to jump start it.

@SatayKing Now that they have reintroduced tolls on the M4, it reduces the attractiveness of heading east.

During the recent move I packed my rather large ruby and diamond dress ring somewhere really safe ... a month later and I still can't find it

i can do that with much bigger objects than a ring .. just don't accidentally throw it out when you unpack ( everything )

On Saturday I switched my phone off, put it down somewhere and couldn't find it.

This morning I found it. Drat.

You know the end of the financial year is approaching when:

    (a) you receive an increasing number of requests for donations to charities; and

    (b) your voicemail box is almost full with pleadings from the same for money.

I was driving home yesterday, when a tradie's ute reversed out of a driveway into the street in front of me. I had to swerve hard to avoid him.

I have a dashcam, so I thought that I finally had a chance to use it. I took the footage into the police. Unfortunately, it seems that reversing into the street without due care is not an offence. It would only have been an offence if he had hit me. Though if he had hit me, it would have caused minor damage to his brick and steel ute, and major damage to me.

However, further down the street, when I was stopped at a stop sign, he overtook me on the left, and went straight through the stop sign without stopping - the shadow of his ute showed up on the dashcam footage. That is an offence, and was more dangerous considering he had no view of the street on the right.

Funnily enough, he then pulled into a property I used to own - some old forumites may remember the "flock of bats".

A ute made of brick & steel would be quite heavy & would be like hitting a brick wall.

It looked as if it was built like a brick outhouse.

The neighbour behind me has been using a leaf blower to remove leaves in the street behind us for about the last 30 minutes. Doesn't he realise I am trying to work/relax at home!?!

hahahaha - our neighbour has immaculate timing when Junior is trying to sit an online Uni exam or listen to a lecture. Earlier this week it was gurney-ing his colorbond fence ... yesterday it was leaf blowing for around 40 minutes.

We had to replace to sections of footpath, that the demolishers had damaged with their truck - refused to pay the council cost to do so (not paying for 6 guys to stand around scratching themselves) ... removed the old concrete, dug the dirt out, formed up, inserted expansion joints, lay plastic in the base, re-concreted (using ConcreteTaxi - great service), finished surface and cleaned up ...

... all the time watched by a council guy sitting in his car, over the road **rolls eyes

Bet he was jealous of the expert job we did

From 3.30pm on Fridays I block my calendar as I want to go to Unicycle hockey. The project manager for a project wanted to put a project meeting in for 3.30pm.

    Not happy Jan!!
