There is such high demand for Woolies deliveries that the earliest I can get a delivery this week is Thursday afternoon - I think that window has now closed too.

I normally put an order in Sunday evening to be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday morning ... right now the earliest you'll get in our area is Friday!

Perhaps the problem is that the Woolies trucks are completely filled with people's orders of toilet paper.

    There's a unicyclist forum.
Not so active, but ok, there were usually a few interesting posts a day.

It was basically running the same software as Somersoft was, but a tad less user friendly when it comes to uploading images.

Well, about 2 weeks ago the webmaster updated the software.

    Now its completely user unfriendly!

I'm not going to use that forum any more.

How long did it take you to learn how to unicycle? This guy managed to do it under 3 hours..

You could learn in a master of hours but how long did it take to master?

To learn to ride - about 10 hours, it would have been much quicker with a more suitable fence!

Also I was using a borrowed once a week cheap Aldi unicycle which had a loose left crank to learn on. But not to worry.

In terms of mastering, it took me another 7.5 months to be able to pivot turn on the spot!
Initially any slopes/gradients were an issue but I got over that too.

And.... nearly 2 years before I would comfortably ride with both hands concurrently on the handle.

    Not quick....

Why does your unicycle have the pedals so far above the ground? The picture in post #86 is what I had pictured in my head. You'd be so much lower to the ground if you fall off that one.

As the horses have gone to a new home, I have 12 acres to mow, which is growing nuts with the rain ... wiped the cobwebs off the ride on and promptly blew a blade belt ... nothing in stock for at least another week as everyone is starting up their much neglected mowers and blowing their belts :( ... grass will be another foot high by then

Hmm, maybe the word "First" in the title of this thread could be removed to more accurately reflect the situation.

I was expecting the country to be in total lockdown for 14 days by now, and have stocked up with the belief I can go at least two weeks without having to venture to the shops. Mr Angel has finally found all the goodies inside the spare fridge and pantry, eyes lit up and is now eating like he's at the buffet on a cruise ship.

    * Mr Angel has been working extra hard these last few weeks and usually falls asleep the moment he gets home.

I too thought we'd be in lockdown - so did my stocking 4-6 weeks ago - but imagine my pantry is more stock with practical items than goodies. Hubby doesn't look to impressed at the thick chicken/vege soup and pumpkin lasagne base I've got stocked in the freezer.

Na, home made pumpkin lasagna would be a delicacy here and gone in a heartbeat. By goodies I just mean the usual - lamb chops, eggs, bacon or yoghurt. I ceased stockpiling a few years ago because a week's worth of fruit or yoghurt would be devoured just over the weekend.

My shares have dropped 30% ... but considering they only make 1% of my super portfolio I'm happy I ignored the accountant nagging at me to buy more shares last year
