I get by in life without the need to use Ctrl. Use of the the residual buttons is my usual approach to things I don't comprehend.

My current FWP is wondering how I will stay awake tonight to watch the Women's One Day England v Australia. More drugs I guess.

The bike maintenance station in my office building doesn't have a tool to tighten the crank for one of my unicycles. Major oversight. I will have to tell them....

OK, these mild winters in Brisbane either have to stop or I'll just have to go to bed at night with my bedroom window wide open. I keep waking up at 3am terribly hot.

    O what's that? Menopause? Na

And here I am in Melbourne, waking up at 4am trying to keep warm and then struggling to wake up in the 4 degrees morning for work.

    Luxury.

Try Canberra for a chilly morning start. It's often down to -4, sometimes -8.

Although my daughter lived in Calgary, Canada through a winter. Down to -30. And after she returned home, she'd complain how cold she was in Sydney when it got down to +4.

And if the car is covered in ice and frost a few unwise commuters think it a great idea to run the car to defrost the windows. And then they don't have a car. It happens.

Drawn attention to menopause, an open window, or just hyping Brisbane again for everyone who doesn't find the climate where they live agreeable.

I'm so not ever moving to Canberra. What's in Canberra anyway? are there warm(er) ocean beaches?
Though I did say something similar about Melbourne too:oops:

The attempts to obtain a comfortable sleeping/living environment. I have that problem as well as I cannot sleep with windows closed and yet during winter the cold can seep in.

Some 40% of household energy costs are, on average, associated with heating/cooling a home. Insulation and/or double glazing help but it is an issue and one which will get worse I think.

I'm originally from Melbourne. Don't regret leaving it behind.
