One of the reason this thread is one of my favorite threads.
    I know I know, I just don't like what I don't know .

There's plenty of info in here.

Look for ETFs to start with. No landlord insurance, rates, property managers, tenants wrecking properties ...

Real estate can also go down.

Stock market risk can be mitigated by diversification. Australian, overseas, bonds - with real estate a part of the mix.

I've had enough years of paying out for years on an investment which only pays back when it's sold. Although it does pay back well, I can't afford to keep it supported along the way. For me, I'm happy to have investments in the stock market

We all know about the strengths and weaknesses of one investment class vs another.

I'm happy to not have everything in one basket any more.

Cat getting to old (and fat) to jump up on the laundry bench to access her food bowl - meow's constantly every time she wants to be lifted up - if food bowl put down lower the dogs will be "in like Flynn" - trying to teach cat to jump up via a "conveniently located" box

Old cats refuse to learn new tricks

Bought curtains online, as need extra length that is not available in local store - arrived - went to hang and they are massively to short. Kicking myself for ordering the expensive but wrong suckers ... until ... realised they've sent me the wrong curtains

    Phew.

    Now the hassle of returning

WOW, up here in Nanny Stateland, the transporting parents would each require a current police check and a Blue Card. The commuting children's parents would all have to sign permission forms for the other parents to transport their child, and the parents driving would have to show their current driver's licence, rego and insurance details to the school office. These details would be recorded (photocopied) and the transporting parents would have to each sign Stat Decs that they have clean licenses. My school would call a bus.

Not placing this in Pet Peeves and Minor Irritants as having money could be considered a FWP.

Close to the EoFY and I'll be taping my foot impatiently waiting for the Annual Statements from a couple of EFTs. Why, oh why, can they just push a button and get the imfoation to me i a week instead of me having to wait a month? After all, I've paid taxes all my life so............

    And it's all about me.

When you can't find a present for your kids that encourages both physical awareness and creativity - and you also have too much money.

    2019-06-21 13.11.06.jpg

Saw this in a toy store at Macquarie Shopping Centre

    Kinderfeets Kinderboard

"Our Kinderboard offers children endless play possibilities. It's great for exploring physical awareness, learning how to balance and creative open-ended play."

It's nothing more than a curved piece of plywood and it cost $170

Try a unicycle.... Pick them up second hand from about $20... Balance, fun and transport all in one at a good price (but if they really get into it, they'll probably want to upgrade cycles)....

It's a new wave toy - you can use your imagination and get a myriad of uses. The first that sprung to mind was a high tech snow board with a really mean camber. :D

It is sooo tiresome but no matter how hard I look I am unable to find a loss on the the sharemarket that I can realize to offset profits. Even the shares I thought might sink are putting me in a higher tax bracket . Might have to buy some property to offset gains.
