    {Note - thread continued from here: First world problems 2017!!}

I got up late for work this morning - 40 minutes after the alarm went off. I slept in

Still, I managed breakfast & caught the bus 25 minutes later.

Turnaround time from bed to office - 45 minutes.

Commuting - it's waaay overrated. (maybe I need to move my bed closer to the office).

Grid girls will no longer decorate the starting line on F1 - Linky

    Now that's a problem. :(

I reckon they should go the way of various football codes and get kids out there ... they can be known as "Grid Kids".

Would love to see some kids racing gokarts around some of the F1 tracks too.

    My toaster died,
So I currently have to use the oven grill.
You actually have to watch this stuff cook.
It doesn't just pop out itself.
Its like going back to when your TV remote was actually connected with a cord!

I was making toasties for a while when mine died, but a toastie machine just can't quite do the exact same thing as a toaster. After a few months I bit the bullet and spent money on a toaster - bought using giftcard from my CBA farewell.

(The rest of the giftcard basically went towards a bike and unicycling gear - my usual pushbike was stolen at the train station) :(

Geez, they must pay bankies way too much if you can buy a bike on a gift card.

It was a thing where everybody in the team puts some money in the gift for you...
It was just around Christmas and I bought an el cheapo Kmart bike. But it's horrible to ride! Gear shifting is shockingly bad. It has plastic cranks and pedals. Good enough for the train station though.

Anyway, a couple of weeks later I bought a bike from a bike shop.

So beautifully smooth... Liv by Giant, Tempt 3 2018 model. A gorgeous bike to ride and I think it's pretty :)

    Thankyou SNM :)
It does the job in most situations and its surprisingly quick and nearly effortless on the road! I'm impressed.

Just wait until you get a real bike, then you'll notice how much less resistance you get on the road (again) however if it is a commuter bike you don't want to fork out too many $ on it.

We had friends with one of those new-fangled remotes that was connected via a cord.

Not us though - we had to actually get up and change the channel by hand. But that's okay - there were only 2 channels to choose from anyway (ABC and GTS-BKN).

1st world prob, the grass is getting long over at our coastal home so gonna have to go there and mow it. While there I will be forced to go for a swim at the beach and get sand all over my feet !

Last week our Solar Panels were installed. I am having trouble getting used to doing the washing during the day rather than whenever I feel like it. Another complaint is that we have not needed to turn on the air con this past week.

Having to cart my groceries up to my unit on my first floor. My car is parked 1 mins walk away so if I have to make two trips sometimes if I bought heaps and it takes me 5 mins to just walk it all in.

I keep reminding myself how fortunate I am to be able to afford all the food and toiletries. Lots in this world can't afford it!!! When I put it away I then remind myself how grateful I am to have affordable shelter and how well off I am compared to other Aussies and others in the 3rd world countries.

Tip: Use Ikea bags. You mightn't need to make multiple trips to the car using those bags!

My back gets a bit sore when I unicycle. :(
And sometimes I regret not wearing padded bike shorts when riding.

Oh, and I didn't make any use of the stock market dip Monday/Tuesday :(
