    @ExcuseMyFrench just throwing this house in for consideration. It's got two bedrooms, needs an awful lot of work, but is in Richmond. The metadata on the page suggests a price of between $500K and $700K, but what it'll go for is a different matter.

    Awesome, thanks @Graeme. My alerts on REA are obviously poorly set up as they didn't pick that up.

    It does need a fair bit of work, but location is ideal!

    This one in Fitzroy North makes the Richmond house look in great condition. :D

    Haha yes, I did see that one!

    I'd imagine that to buy one of these places, one need to have 10% for the deposit + duties etc + enough extra cash to renovate... We might have a big enough budget to buy the place but then we'd have no cash left to do the much needed renovations.
