First home buyer considering options - open to advice

    Looking at property for sale in Ballarat.

    If I was a young Doctor on a good income. I would find someone willing to buy a new trendy inner city unit/apartment. Then offer to lease it off them for a period of time ie 3 years?

    I would then save/invest in the share market for that period of time with any extra money left over. Having a long hard think about where I want to buy a forever home and what features I wanted. Then buy a house in the future when I had a healthy deposit and a good understanding of what I want.

    Coming to a property forum you will get Cognitive Dissonance ie buying property is a good idea. Go to a share investing forum and buying shares is a good idea.
