Has anyone watched the documentary called ? This is about an American guy that makes ecofriendly houses out of old tyres and bottles.

The builder of the house in Adelaide is Dr Martin Freney and he wrote his Ph.D. Thesis on Earthship design. The thesis can be at downloaded Adelaide Research and Scholarship: Earthship architecture: post occupancy evaluation, thermal performance & life cycle assessment.

Martin also runs Earthship Eco Homes

Haven't seen it but looks good. Very different approach. Only thing I wonder is how strong it is in tolerance to natural disasters.
