I have a friend who is 59 years old.
I suggest my friend to get a financial planner + other experts to help to plan.

    Some info about my friend:
    1. lives in Sydney.
    2. has a 5m property that has been paid off
    3. has a property worth 1m with a 50k loan
    4. is thinking of buying another property 1.1m with subdivision potential in Sydney

Expert help needed in those areas:
    Superannuation planning
    Loan structuring
JV with a friend on property purchase

    Hey :)

Re the loan structure, it's going to depend on if it's a JV or not, and if it's a short term project or buy and hold.

Any of the brokers here could help with the loan structure side of things.

Why does your friend need you? They have more than enough assets to do it by themselves.

the jv doesnt make sense. What are you contributing?

    1. Most planners would have more to learn from your friend compared to the other way around.
    Not sure what is expected.
    2. In terms of super it isn't that complex: maximise concessional contributions and make non concessional contributions at a level that is palatable.
    3. Find a broker to sort out financing options.
