    Hi Guys,

I am looking for recommendations on a financial advisor that can give advice on life insurance, income protection etc. I don't need advice on investing at this stage however impressive performance may encourage further requirements of services.

I am hoping to find one that is pay for service and not commissioned on putting me into something that doesn't suit me.

Any advice here would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

You will struggle to find an adviser that does not take commission on insurance. What location?

Most insurance advisors will be paid commissions, much like mortgage brokers. It does not necessarily mean they'll give you a product that's not in your best interests - I could be wrong, but if it's like mortgage broking the comms are not that different no matter which product you use.

We are in Melbourne and Roskow do not charge commission for insurance (if you have insurance that do pay commission they will refund this to you) but they do charge a monthly fee for the advice which will include insurance but also reviewing shares, property and goals etc.

We have been with them for about 1 year and the service they have provided for us was much better than the previous financial planner (about 3 years).

Do you own DD if they are suitable for you.
