Is the FP recommending a specific property (hence getting a kickback) or recommending that property should be considered in a wider portfolio?

$400k is a major exposure in his whole portfolio (if he takes up this option), what other options is he considering including in his wider recommendations (eg: equities, term deposits, funds managers etc)?

Good points for consideration. I'm throwing some broad questions out for the OP to consider when considering any location or investment.

In regards to other investment options he is a bit unsure. I suggested that maybe at his age and owning his house outright maybe it wouldn't be wise to invest in property if you are afraid of biting the bullet which he is and maybe looking into the fund managers side of things. Maybe less risky at his age ?
